So far, it kicks ten levels of ass. It e-mails the voice mail messages to me in wav format, so I can listen to them either in Mail or put all of my voice mails in an iTunes playlist.

The Linksys doohickey is coming in the mail, so I won't be able to make calls yet. Not too shabby for $24.99 a month so far.

Gonna try Time Warner's Digital Phone (cable installation is this AM -- still hijacking the NYPD's wifi when I can get a signal). By itself, the Digital Phone is more $$ than Vonage, but as part of the 3-way package (TV, HSI & DP), I save about $5 over what I'd pay for Vonage plus just TV and HSI. Anxious to see how well it works.

As I understand it, the Time-Warner (we have it around here too) system is a step up from regular VOIP like Vonage. Not sure in what way, but that's what I've heard.
