In my experience, sometimes the iTunes encoder will refuse to lower the sampling rate, telling you it can't be done and refusing to do it. It tells you it isn't avaible. <br><br>There I go thinking beyond the box....<br><br>
Then file a bug report. Posting here ain't gonna fix it. <br><br>Seriously, Apple is recommending GarageBand because it's the only free audio recording app that comes with every Mac.<br><br>If you like, use Audacity - it's got a lousy interface, but it's free.<br><br><br>
