I found a used truck about 100 miles awhile that is temping and I can not get there in time to check it out. I did talk with the owner though. It is weird thinking of buying a vehicle sight unseen though. Most require a non-refundable deposit. I was thinking that the PayPal insurance may help?

No, but I have been looking at eBay and cars.com.
With eBay I enter "Distance: nearest first" that way I can go see the car if I have to.
I found a very nice RX300 a month ago that I almost pulled the trigger on.

Friend of mine bought a motorcycle off eBay, but he drove up to Michigan and paid cash in person after checking it out and riding it first, etc.

If I couldn't pick it up and pay in person, I wouldn't do the deal.
