I'm in New York State. We have the seat belt law, the hands free cell law, and no smoking in public establishments. While I always wear a seatbelt, use my headset even when I am not driving and as an ex-smoker absolutely abhor smoking around me. I despise the fact that government has saw fit to enforce their will upon us citizens. Let the idiots that don't wear seat belts, gabbing on their cell phones while lighting a butt meet their demise before they perpetuate their stupity by breeding.

Maybe you're right... insurance rates seem to be controlled more by what is allowed before state trade commissions start investigating than any actual risk or compensation.

-- Charlie Alpha Roger Yankee Whiskey
And who cares about private property anymore?

Little by little, liberty is nibbled away.
Which is frequently what Dr. Williams, an economist and libertarian, addresses.

Just run up your store card to 50% of max and leave it on minimum payments for 3 months. Next car insurance bill will be about 50-100% increase over previous.

Someone want to tell me what your store card balance has to do with your driving safety?!

We all do what we do for the same reason: because it seems like a good idea at the time.
