Most of the free ringtone sites have a catch or gimmick. My Moto v551 supports MP3 ringtones so I have been creating my own. I'll never pay for a ringtone or wallpaper. Moto wants $2 for a freakin' wallpaper image! I can upload my own via Bluetooth...and it can use iSync too. This has been a big improvement over my old Nokia TDMA model. Although I have to use both a Bluetooth dongle and a USB cable to take advantage of everything (like iSync) which is kind of stupid. But it works and I'm happy.

As an alternative you may want to try

http://stt3.smashsworld.com/

It has worked for me using my Moto V710 being as my carrier is Verizon and they want to charge rediculous fees for ringtones.
