Hmmm... maybe Pasadena wouldn't choose ND? Here is a section of one of the articles saying ND is an unlikely choice (Sporting News):

Yes, if Ohio State advances to the Fiesta Bowl to play for the national title, that means the Rose Bowl would have its pick of remaining BCS-eligible teams since it would have lost a team from a league it had a bowl arrangement with.

One of the clubs the Rose Bowl might be able to tab is Notre Dame, which would be a dream selection for any bowl. But don't expect the Rose Bowl to be tempted to eschew a Big Ten team. The bowl almost assuredly would take Iowa -- or any other Big Ten club -- if given the chance. There is too much history and loyalty for the Rose Bowl to go any other direction.

That scenario is a possibility... especially with Iowa doing so well. If that ends up the case, I would throw my guess at the Sugar Bowl... they seem to like Notre Dame... they even invited them when they had a 3 loss season.

[color:red] Kiss My Banana!
Visit me here!
