If my aunt buys a Shuffle, plugs it into MY Powerbook with iTunes, copies some songs...

Can she then keep it charged at her work computer with Windows, without iTunes?

When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops?
Edited by DavidDraiman on 05/04/05 09:56 AM (server time).

I bring it to my XP machine here at work. I have an older version of iTunes that preceeds Shuffle compatibility, so I get a nag warning about not being able to sync with iTunes when I plug in. The Shuffle comes formatted for PC out of the box, so it should connect to any USB2 PC with no problem. I don't believe it charges, though, without the iTunes software. While mounted, it acts as any other keychain drive and the light flashes orange (as it does at home). When I unmount, the light goes out... unlike on a Mac where the light stays on and turns green when fully-charged.
