I'm in the market for a 12" iBook or Powerbook, and price is a factor. Apple just loaded up their refurb page with iBooks at some sweet prices.

Do I wait for an iBook update? Do I buy one of these? Yikes! What would Hula Jesus do?

In recent years I have bought 2 refurbished iBooks and refurbished 2 PowerBooks.
Each time I said the same thing, "Oh well...waited too long!"
Don't worry it will be back.
Keep an eye on Small Dog also. They can have very good prices on refurbished and they don't charge tax.
Here is another good site

Yes, try reseting the Power Manager about 100 times. It did work before though. Did all of the normal things trying to get it to go wihtout luck. I know the power boards on these are flaky and as much use/abuse as this one receives, I am surprised it lasted this long, let alone that the hinges held out.
