Ok, I PM'd Gizmo last week beccause I kept seeing this symbol in his posts:

Since then I have wiped and reinstalled all my software with Tiger and I still see that symbol in some of the posts on this forum and it makes no difference what web browser I use.

What is it, and am I the only seeing that thing?

Actually Carp, I thought maybe it WAS something I was doing wrong with the smilies, but since he asked me about it last week, I've noticed it on several other people's posts as well. The odd thing is, I don't see them on my own posts, only others. I'm wondering if it's a browser font setting – since I have custom browser fonts turned on.

CreativeGuy: For your "fix" of design software tips, tricks & commentary.

Well I could come up with a — if only I could remember how to use an em dash.

The MacMinute webpage doesn't have the character coding set in the HTML. So you have to use escaped characters instead of raw characters in your post to use em dashes.

¶Atleast we aren't seeing these funky characters in the posts that would be extremely annoying.

¶I think I would stop at the first paragraph and not read the second.
