As I asked him WTF his problem was, he laid a haymaker on me outta nowhere and ran off down Lexington Ave. I wound up with 2 titanium plates and 8 screws (all loose ) in my head. <br><br>
Oh yah. That was over a year ago. Only hold-over is some residual numbness in the damaged cheek. The bone was so badly fractured ("eggshelled", the surgeon called it) that there was a fair amount of nerve entrapment, so it could take another year for the numbness to completely disappear. But it's so slight, I'm barely aware of it. Sorta feels like the last stages of novocaine wearing off.<br><br>
