I was wondering if it was some kind of psychology study because it was so obviously farfetched. Now as far as the article you linked to Bry: Since we ran that story, it has been picked up by ABC News in the States and debated on bog sites across the world. Are those bog sites something within the cranberry industry? Peat? Inquiring minds want to know.

No surprises there, eh? But I can say that it's a major problem. Two folks dresses in every day clothes walked right in to our corporate headquarters, past a reception desk, up some stairs, past an executive secretary, into three of the owners offices and walked out with all three of their laptops. Not a single person (and upon looking at video, nearly 20 people walked right by them) stopped to ask who they were - both on the way in and on the way out - carrying all three laptops in plain view. That's what happens when you get too big! I work in a satellite office where we only have about 30 people, so you basically can't take a crap without everyone knowing, let alone have some stranger walk in and walk out with our toys!

CreativeGuy: For your "fix" of design software tips, tricks & commentary.

We're a huge company and everyone has to have an ID badge showing at all times that we use to scan at all entrances and department doors. We're supposed to question and report anyone without a badge. But we have no security personnel, so I don't know what they'd do if they caught someone without a badge. I ain't tackling nobody for this wage.

"We also have security people here, but it seems their only job is to put notes on your car if you park in the wrong spot."

Sounds like college. Drunks everywhere, people dying of alcohol poisoning, rapes here and there.... but man, park in the wrong spot and you won't graduate till you pay your $6 fine.

We have some ugly wimmen. j/k We are directly across the street from the police station. And a small company. We have the back door accessed by key card only. Being a newspaper we do have nutty people coming in but the last one after raising heck up front went over and turned us into the police for printing illegal stories. Then he also turned in the entire Mariner baseball team for stalking him. He got a free trip to the hospital. They did have an escaped prisoner from the county jail we were warned about Friday but he ran with handcuffs and they caught him in 15 minutes. A little excitement on the intercom.

Sounds like my place. Our main floor is a reception area and some other stuff, but you need an access card to go up.

I'd like to post a photo of my office area some time because I think it's pretty cool. How do you guys host images or where? Is there a free option? Can I post images that are in my web-based Gmail account? That would be perfect.

Dissenter...

What ISP are you using?

Most provide some server space along with your connnection to the web. Check your contract or give them a call.

If you already know you don't have any ISP-provided space, you can look into a place like Photobucket.com or PixCentral.com. They provide free image hosting.
