I have to agree with some of the comment on T though... the templates ARE horrible, and they still load slow as heck. While I still applaud Hagen for his efforts, and I encourage him to continue, I can't help but feel a bit let down. ImageWell no longer resides on my machine since version 2 was released. When he changed it from a menu bar app, he removed the whole point of the app, in my opinion. And IW just feels "unfinished" Ð quite raw actually. Shutterbug is mediocre at best, I've seen dozens of apps that do the same thing, and do it much better. I haven't tried Paradise yet, but from what I remember, it does the same thing as Shutterbug.

CreativeGuy: For your "fix" of design software tips, tricks & commentary.

You are so harsh. *sob*

Actually, I wouldn't know. I haven't used either app, mainly because I have no need for them. But, just like any other work-in-progress, it takes time to bake, and I'm glad to see Hagen getting this stuff out there, even if it ain't perfect yet.

Ya grumpy ol' sumbitch!

Another place I saw a familiar name.
From Cnet Mac Downloads newsletter:
From: CNET_Networks_Member_Services@newsletter.online.com
Subject: ImageWell, iPodder, Chowder
Date: April 19, 2005 4:06:28 PM PDT
IN MULTIMEDIA AND DESIGN

ImageWell
Version: 2.0.22
File size: 348KB
License: Free
Minimum requirements: Mac OS X 10.2.8

For anyone who needs a quick and easy way to edit and upload
images, this powerful freeware utility hits the mark. Combining
two tasks, ImageWell is designed specifically to modify images
and post them to a Web server. You can perform simple image
modifications by dragging an image onto the ImageWell icon. From
there you can crop, resize, and add drop shadows, labels, text,
and watermarks. You also can use its built-in screen-grab
feature. We were happy the program flawlessly uploaded
files to our own Web server rather than only to the Mac hosting
service. We were disappointed that you only can upload one
image at a time, which can be especially cumbersome if you have
hundreds of pictures. That said, we think ImageWell hits the
mark on most accounts, making it perfect for bloggers, eBay
posters, or for anyone looking for a flexible utility to edit
and share photos.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Maybe you'll like this template -

http://homepage.mac.com/xtralean/macgizmo/

Anyways, you can make your own templates. I made this in 10 minute with a couple of screen grabs with ImageWell and then popped them into ShutterBug.
