In reply to:

After updating to 10.3.9, I noticed the new Safari has joined the ranks of the lastest Firefox and Camino builds in not displaying table heights properly

The height attribute (and width) have been deprecated since html 4.0. It's not even in the XHTML1.0 Transitional DTD. I'd seriously avoid using it.

It's not mission critical. I had a welcome image that was centered vertically... so much for that, I guess.

Nah, no interest. Like I said, it's nothing important. Just an observation.

You are correct that its a bug, though. Looking at the W3C documentation, they did break how it's *supposed* to work:

In reply to:

Length: The value (%Length; in the DTD) may be either a %Pixel; or a percentage of the available horizontal or vertical space. Thus, the value "50%" means half of the available space.

So 100% like you had *should* take up 100% of the available vertical space.

Heh, maybe Apple stole some FF code.

Good ol' IE still displays it properly. But it's weird how all new browsers won't do it. I'm here on my PC at work, and neither IE6 nor FF show it correctly. Maybe if I start using Opera.... NAH!!!!! Bwah ha!
