#223639 - 04/11/0509:11 AMimac and the buzzing noise
Hi,

I have a problem with my imac (old one, about 5 years old): well the thing is I was away for 3 weeks and when I came back it was making a funny noise although it was switched off! When I turned it on it was ok, but during the night the buzzing noise came back. What is wrong with it and what can I do about it?

It was a logic board recall I believe. Too late for it now. If the noise fades after a half hour so that was the deal but yours stays on.

The fact that yours never did it before may be symptoms of the Power Analog Video board going bad also. Quite a pain to replace.

They should have never taken the cooling fans out of those.
