I couldn't find a clip, but here's my favorite Johnnie Cochran parody (from South Park):

Chewbacca is a wookie from the planet Kashyyyk. But Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now think about that; that does not make sense. Why would a wookie, an 8 foot tall wookie, want to live on Endor with a bunch of two foot tall ewoks? That does not make sense! But more importantly, you have to ask yourself, ‘what does that have to do with this case?' Nothing. Ladies and Gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this case. It does not make sense!"

it goes without saying, he was just another attorney. Wasn't he spearheading the whole reparations movement? Guess that's gone now!

-------
Predictable. Consistent. Either way, it's the same thing.

I understand why people are so bitter about the OJ thing — I'm not one of them as I'm neither convinced of his guilt or innocence since I don't know all the facts of the case — but many seem to forget that Cochrane did some good things too. For example, he won the freedom of Elmer Pratt, who spent 27 years in prison for a murder he didn't commit, and he represented Abner Louima, who was tortured by NY City police. He also represented hundreds in police brutality cases early in his career in addition to many other high profile cases later on.

Not everything he did was bad and I'd venture to guess that were anyone of us wrongly accused of a crime he'd be just the type of lawyer we'd want on our side.
