There's a new series on A&E called "Intervention." Like the title suggests, it's a show that follows an addict up until the moment his or her family intervenes. It's quite a show, and I'm hooked. The first week featured a cocaine addict and a crack addict. The addicts don't even know they're getting the intervention. Tonight, the show featured a gambler and a compulsive shopper. Next Sunday, the previews suggest a girl that can't stop cutting/mutilating herself and a Vicodin addict. The addicts have to choose right then and there, on the spot, between leaving immediately to a rehab center, or face exile from their family. They don't always go quietly. Wow, this is some incredible stuff. Check it out.
