I'm with you about the kids, but I've never smoked and second hand smoke has never bothered me. I've even dated smokers. Now people who blow their nose at the table should be shot. When I am forced to witness this I'm always tempted to ask the person if they mind if I take a dump in the aisle?

Can't please everyone all the time.. or else you'll live your life afraid that someone will shoot you for:

- smoking when they're eating
- blowing your nose at the table
- letting your kids make noise
- pissing in a pool

But seriously some of you need to chill out. If they're doing it malicious that's a different story but then there are those who are just clueless. You were clueless at one time, weren't you?

--
http://www.stevenkimband.com/
Years ago, I was getting to know an acquaintence when I realized that every time at dinner... at the end, he would use the napkin to seriously blow his nose. Linen napkins at nice restaurants too. *shudder*

We don't hang out anymore.

--------------------
You can't be serious. You're really saying that people are clueless about the stench of their smoke, blowing gobs of snot where people are eating, the noise of their brats, and peeing in a swimming pool?

I don't know what town you live in, but I it must be a real experience to visit.

Wow, the restaurants you go to must really suck, because most I've been to around here with a smoking section (which is all of them) have it well separated from the non smoking section.

Even so, I could care less. Cigarette smoke hasn't really ever bothered me. I don't smoke cigarettes, but I do have a cigar every few months. Perhaps that's why.

There should be smoking and non-smoking restaurants. That way, all the cigarette fiends can sit there and hack, cough and wallow in their airborne cancer uninterrupted, while the rest of us go some place else.

In Fort Wayne, they do it right. Every restaurant has a sealed off smoking section. In some of the more popular restaurant / bars, you should see the smoking section .. You can almost make out the people through the dense, blue haze.

Of course, many restaurants couldn't afford to seal off a smoking area, so they banned smoking altogether. Good!

****************
no sig
