Some friends of mine let me borrow a Mamiyaflex camera! It looks pretty cool, and they're going to develop the film for me.

Now... any of you photo guys have any pointers for me? I've never used a camera like this. These guys let me use it becuase they're way into photography and I've been tutoring them in Photoshop. They said they wanted me to get a feel for real photography.

I'm going to an antique toys show in a little bit, so I guess I'll try my hand at using it there. Then maybe I'll have to figure out how to add film.

I saw Richard Avedon on television using a TLR to photograph Whoopie Goldberg. He had a shelf full of them. Medium format, square pictures, what more could anyone ask for.

Apparently it's bad for insurance or somehting and they'll get fairly irritated and ask that you leave without offering too much of an explanation.

They didn't want their goods showing up in someone else's book on the subject, or their stuff being cased for possible theft.

Those instructions are fairly self explainatory.
You'll probably need a light meter to adjust the lens speed and aperature settings.
Pop up the magnifying glass to help getting the subject in focus and shoot away.
