Not sure about the group thing — never actually explored that deeply — but unique ringtones for each caller, yes. When my office calls, the phone farts. When it's my wife, it's the sound of clanking chains. When it's my gir... ah, never mind.

Yes mine does that. I wasn't refering to multiple phone #'s for the same person.

What I was talking about was this:

and inside each folder, would be the list for that heading....so my parents and siblings would be in Family, all the kids I take care of, office phone, co-worker's cells would be in Work, etc.

Sure, navigating might not be that good....but when you deal with a lot of numbers like I do and don't have to access them all of the time, this feature would be nice.
Edited by OSXaddict on 12/19/04 07:55 PM (server time).

In reply to:

Sure, navigating might not be that good

Doh! It's a freakin phone, John. Navigating shouldn't even be part of the process. Ya picks the dang thing up, ya dials the number and ya sez "hellodere!" And if ya can't tell yer frendz-n-fambly from yer co-workers, ya need treatment for ADD more than ya need a cell phone!

It's not that I can't tell my friends from co-workers, but when you deal with 10 kids, 10 social workers, the independent living team (8 people), 2 co-workers, relatives, colleges, high schools counselors and teachers, the admin office + the workers there...that's a lot to scroll through, and that doesn't include 7 siblings, parents, friends, other relatives.

you've got bad reception and battery time in the US because the base station grid is not as dense as in other parts of the world. don't blame the phones. they work cool everywhere else... America is too big! :)
