Yeah I heard that, but the story doesn't really say anything of significance.

You can respect someone, without necessarily agreeing with them. Michael Moore is good at what he does, I don't agree with his message most of the time, but that doesn't take away from the fact that he is a leader in his chosen field. So Rush has the largest talk show radio audience (or so I've heard), last I checked that makes you a leader in the field. If Rush energised talk radio boosting audience figures nationally, that would mean he gave birth to a whole bunch of things.

And it should be a political commentators job to listen to Rush, even for a liberal. If you don't know what the other side is saying then how can you attack them for it? From what I hear of the Rush Limbaugh show, he listens to (live or taped) or reads transcripts of anything the democrats are saying so he can ridicule their message - and I don't think anyone could accuse Rush of supporting the liberal agenda?!

I haven't regularly watched network news in years and years so I'm not really up to speed on these guys. Why was Brokaw considered "an inveterate liberal"? Did he express liberal views in another outlet? The most I know of him is that he wrote a couple of books extolling those from the 30s and 40s as the "greatest generation" because of their hard work and sense of duty. That seems pretty conservative to me.

I watch network news. I am fairly conservative myself and always identified more with Brokaw. I never considered him a liberal or conservative actually.
I always thought he was just a good journalist.

first newsmax?? cmon, ass kissers of the right

2nd, Rush owes more to stern than anyone

3rd Brokaw is a good broadcaster it wasnt until the right decided to label him a liberal that people started to dislike him.

and Williams going on Hannity? when is he going to go on Air America for a balanced approach? if he doesnt then he is a right wing nut job (the opposite of liberal)
