They are even boo hooing that Canada isn't throwing open it's borders to the "intellectual elite" who are being oppressed by the "fascist" Bush administration.

Right now there's a few wolves feeding on the carcasses. I was close to counting a little coup myself, but could bring myself to post after shooshie begged to be left alone. It amazes me that those people can spend a year beating the $hit out of anyone from the right, and then can't understand when the those same people come for a little pay back. Amazing.

Salus populi suprema lex

I've just been over to MC, and although there are posts that express frustration, anger, confusion, disappointment--what anyone would expect from a losing side--I don't really see a great deal of what's being described in this thread. Maybe I'm not looking at the right threads--don't really have the time, either. I can't say I'm disappointed by the results because I expected Bush to win. It's hard to defeat an incumbent in a time of war--and I won't go any further than that because anything further would rehash arguments that have become stale, boring, and rhetorically empty over the last however many weeks and months.

But I am sorry that you got banned, JC, not because you care about it (which you clearly don't), but because banning for posting a flag is plain silly and there's been enough silliness already. I frankly don't understand why you got banned, though, since there are plenty of people over at MC of the conservative persuasion who are putting on their best gloating act, and they seem not to be restrained or banned. Oh well.

Edited by yoyo52 on 11/03/04 10:48 PM (server time).
