This is the day I have been waiting but not hoping for.

The US being laughed at by hundreds of other countries. The US population being pointed at as the dumbest, most brainwashed and controlled population on the planet.

The American people being laughed at anywhere they will go in this world from now on. Till now they were known as the people that wear jeans and baseball hats while visiting, fron now on they will be the monkey electors.

Although I have tears dripping from my eyes because I can foresee the blood that will be flowing in the few years to come, I have a smile on my lips knowing that the "Beauteful America" will be know as the "Dumb America" from this day on in the eyes of the rest of the world.

The truth always comes out, it only takes time.

_________________________________________
Just a different kinda geek...

Yeah, but now we gotta deal with him.

Oh the hypocracy of him living in what is probably the most conservative province in Canada, insulting the US for electing a conservative government.

Stephan's style may be questionable, but unfortunately there is much truth in what he says.

i heard many saying similar things Today. for at least two years people have been saying that althogh Bush is obviously incompetent to rule the strongest nation on earth, but fortunately in Democracy there is a possibilty to change the governement once the term is over.

unfortunately good marketing that borderlines brainwashing is so strong and so effective, that even a president like Bush can be reelected. practically there was not even a third contender. the big US democracy failed in my eyes too. basically it doesn't matter if you have a dictatorship or a democracy with such huge power for washing brains, the outcome is the same. the same guy can stay in power even if he's failing in his job.

it didn't matter that there were hundreds of millions in the US who realized the danger, it was enough to manipulate just enough amount of people to get reelected.

i'm telling you democracy at this scale simply doesn't work. there is too much distance between the voter and the candidates. i don't know any better system, but certainly other contenders should be allowed to come forward, so that people actually have a choice between quality presidential candidates.
