isn't he the dude who lost a game early in a series and blamed himself for not letting god win it for him? he then won a game later in the series and said that he just relied on god to give him the victory? (as if people on the other team can have no relationship with god)

of course he's going to endorse dubya.

--
one of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors. -Plato
Yes, he thanks Jesus for helping him win each game. He seems like a nice guy and a heck of a ball player, but where in the world do people get the idea that Jesus gives two sh!ts about sports? I certainly hope he's working on something more important than Shilling's breaking ball.

Conversely, where's the blame if you lose?

I didn't see anyone from St. Louis get up and say, "Jesus made us lose the World Series...THANKS A LOT!!!!"

[color:red]C'mon...you know me.

In reply to:

Conversely, where's the blame if you lose?

Umm..HELLO! You're forgetting Satan! There is no way St. Louis actually played that poorly without the two big guns getting involved.
You're ignoring the obvious here. Clearly the Cardinals [hem] didn't invoke their patron Saint, Louis IX (1214-1270), King of France. Come to think of it, maybe it was just as well the didn't invoke a French king, eh?

[censored] I would be surprised if Curt voted for anyone but Bush. But it is what Curt does between the white lines that I am interested about. Shoot, if this kind of stuff interested me in the least I would probably be upset about how much baseball players make! Not!
The game is the thing, who cares what these guys do off the field. A-Rod carries a purse on his way to first base as he swats the ball impetuously away from Arroyo. That counts. He's out and Jeter is at first. That hurts.

Curt Shilling pitches with his ankle tendon stitched out of position. That counts. I would still buy him a beer next time I see him in a bar no matter who he votes for in the next election. I doubt I'll have much chance of picking up his tab in Boston in the next 50 years as I will have to get in line.

red sox otter pops for sale

Wow, but say one bad thing about ol' Bloody Sock and the venom comes a-spewin' out....

Wouldn't put it past Captain Loudmouth to have faked that whole thing anyway to make himself look like even MORE of a hero. Sheesh.

[color:red]C'mon...you know me.
Where is the venom? I only say exactly how I feel. I do not care that Shilling is a born again fundamentalist christian conservative who makes quite a few more millions of dollars than me. I would not care if he was a satanic worshiper who sacrificed goats on the Boston Common before each game. (Actually I would think that was kind of cool.)

I guess what has been getting _my_ goat is that my enjoyment of Boston Sports Radio has been diminished the last few days because of the conservative hosts gloating about Shilling's revelation. It goes beyond who cares. They should shut up and talk about baseball because they sound stupid when they talk politics.

Oh wait, I guess I did let a little nastiness slip in when I mentioned A-Rods purse. You could mention Pedro"s shiny red bat which matched his glove ensemble. But at least he was always a match for Don "Raging Bull" Zimmer.

red sox otter pops for sale
