Can you use iSync with 2 different macs and 1 .Mac account and have separate settings such as Safari favorites, iChat settings, Address Book, etc?

You can pick what things iSync will work on. I don't think iChat is one of them. Nope, just Safari Bookmarks, Address Book Contacts, and iCal Calendar. I have three computers syncing all three of those things, but I guess I could make the preferences different for any of them.

did you set it up in the iSync prefs? How did it recognize the other mac?

Reason I'm asking is because I don't have .Mac anymore, but Amy does. I want to be able to sync up but not lose my information.

OK, now that you ask, I honestly forget how the computers show up. But I think the only thing you have to do is to enter the .Mac information in the .Mac Control Pane. At least I think that's what you do. Sorry I can't be more useful--when I get my G5 (it's gonna take forever, it seems), I'll have to enter the information on the .Mac Pane, and I hope that's all I have to do

You can sync any number of Macs on a single account. But all the data (iCal, Address Book, Safari bookmarks, etc.) has to belong to the account holder. In other words, open .Mac in system prefs, enter Amy's username and password, then open iSync and select which devices you want to sync. But even on your computer, it'll be her data being downloaded to your desktop, and when you enter your data, it'll wind up on hers. You can merge it, but you can't separate it.
