That's what I said Friday and sure enough this is pretty much the only thing I got done. I have finally completed the long overdue update to my Mount St. Helens website.
Welcome to Volcano Country

The pages are very graphic intensive so they make take a little bit to load on a slower connection.

@Topper Thanks, it's hard to believe we were ever that young. We had only been living together a few months.

@John I have not seen too many people who were that close put up web sites and that is why I wanted to make it as complete as possible.

@Yoyo Let's see it happened at 8:32 am and it was totally dark within 20 minutes. I am not sure how much later the power went out but it was less than an hour. We slept for a few hours, in hindsight I think we did not remain awake because 1) we had been up very late and 2) it was so quiet, we couldn't go outside, it was dark and there was no power. So I think we were just overwhelmed and could not think of what else to do. We went to my Mom's about 3 or 4 pm because we couldn't cook or anything and they had power. And tv news reports. This is something that was unprecedented in our area and lifetime and I think we needed to be with people. So we were in the house about 7 or 8 hours before we went outside.
