There was a survey on the front page today that asked "Do you own an iPod"...the figures were 11% Yes, 89% No. Total votes last time I checked was upwards 78k. The percentages surprised me...

It's all about demographics...one site could have CNN's numbers, while another (Wired, perhaps) could have the opposite...

[color:red]C'mon...you know me.

I read an article earlier this week that showed the iPod as no.4 as the top 10 most requested (i think for christmas) item by kids. The article said that it was a surprise since the survey didn't have the iPod listed as a choice. It made the top 10 by write-ins alone.

I didn't see a real need for an MP3 player until I got one. Now I can't live without it. I know a lot of people that don't even really listen to music on a regular basis. How dull.

From the front page, the Micro$oft FUD machine rolls on:

"We're different because Apple is a closed system. If you want Apple, you have to use the iPod. A lot of people want choice and we offer that."

MP3, MP4, AIFF, WAV oh yeah and it works on Windows and Mac...yeah that's a real closed system. What a buncha maroons!
