actually.. the wife is pleased with the current size, but she wants one that comes in colors... she's tired of the "all white" look and feel, but she loves the machine and the form factor as it is...

***
"Buzzards gotta eat, same as worms"
--Clint Eastwood in The Outlaw Josey Wales
a little note on rumors:

"Hysteria sells -- and accuracy takes time, which could make the news stale by the time the statisticians check it out." --Thomas Sowell

Not that I'm accusing MacMinute or Stan of this, I just thought it an interesting quote about journalism in general and it seemed to fit the rumor mill idea...

***
"Buzzards gotta eat, same as worms"
--Clint Eastwood in The Outlaw Josey Wales
Actually a bigger screen on the iBook will lower the crispness of the display and increase the weight and size. DONT EXPECT SUCH A BIG CHANGE THIS YEAR, THE NEW iBOOK IS VERY NEW AND IT WILL STAY THAT WAY. Color is out, it was over killed by the iMac and the older iBooks. I love the design and form of the iBook just the way it is. Now if only we could get a faster system bus to run Mac OS X better, and more ram (standard 20 gig hd would be nice too). Plus the graphics chip is the same one from my old desktop with less video ram. I hope the iBooks get up to 16 mb video ram and a Gforce 2 to go. Expect these updates from Apple when they update there portable line (whenever that may be? Seybold? Paris??????) I really want a new portable, my blue and white g3 desktop is old and I have to use the new PC! If you want a bigger screen, go get a Tibook G4.

I'm thinking a PowerBook G4 revision will come in September at AppleExpo Pairs. The iBook I doubt will see any revision until Macworld San Francisco or -- if Apple is smart -- some time in November/December to spur holiday sales.
