And Gore is right. We were betrayed by this president. Again, what should he do if he thinks that Mr. Bush is a terrible president? Shoud he simply shut up? He doesn't intimate that Mr. Bush is a coward. He doesn't call Mr. Bush a flip flopper. He doesn't say that Mr. Bush is unpatriotic. "The truth shall rise again," I hope for sure, because Mr. Bush in fact has misled (in two different senses of the word) this nation.

Shoot, I passed over listening to your tape. What a great speech. If only we had him as our President. We may have had a united world against terrorism. We may have had a President not stoking our fears for votes. We would not be in this mess in Iraq certainly so we would have had 200 billion dollars to spend on real antiterrorism. And we might have had Osama in hand by now. We'll never know.

luciferase is a four nineteener

You misunderstand me, mon ami--I'm trying to see the world from the perspective you present, where there is a constant conspiracy on the part of liberal organizations to tear apart the country. You know, the counterpart to that great right wing conspiracy that we heard about in the Clinton years.

For what it's worth, and not trying to one-up your posts, from my point of view there are no conspiracies, period--except maybe for the neo-cons, of course.

Thank goodness that lunatic wasn't the President when the heat was on after September 11th. This country is lucky to have had George Bush leading the way . . . seeking, and recieving, international support for our operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. In the War on Terror, Bush will always seek cooperation from our allies around the world. But, as the President has made very clear, there is a difference between leading a coalition of many nations and submitting to the objections of a few.

****************

[color:blue]VOTE[color:red] for President George W. I didn't think you would. But your left wing conspiracy theories, your left wing news theories, your abject swallowing of all of the Republican doggerel reminds me of reading a cartoon. Captain America, or Superman, or Dick Tracy. A black and white world where all that is Republican is good and all that is liberal is very bad.

But even Dick Tracy would know that this President has screwed up a few times. Even Bush admits he has "miscalculated" but you can't even see that.

luciferase is a four nineteener

for what it's worth, i tend to agree with you (and, yoyo and i did not plan this agreement and haven't discussed it previously). i don't see conspiracies, except for the overt conspiracy of the neo-cons and i think 'overt conspiracy' is pretty much an oxymoron. i don't think the media is liberal, even though i see a few anecdotal pieces of evidence out of hundreds of hours of programming being presented to us here on the forum each week as proof of a liberal conspiracy. i am pretty sure fox news is conservative, though they have successfully tricked many people into thinking that they really are fair and balanced. not a conspiracy, per se, as much as it is successful ad campaign to a group of people who really want to believe they are seeing objective news that reinforces their world view.

"Tribal sovereignty means that, it's sovereign. Hmmm...A news gathering organization like the Associated Press, which has been around for a long, long time, makes a gigantor "whoopsie, how'd that blatant, made-up lie get in our news story about the President?" error. No bias in your eyes, eh Sean? Why am I not surprised?

****************

[color:blue]VOTE[color:red] for President George W. they'll slip up in both directions from time to time because it's impossible to be a giant organization and not have slip ups. i just see the balance and you don't.

"Tribal sovereignty means that, it's sovereign. Directly lying in a news story is not a slip up Sean. It's direct lying in a news story. I see the obvious bias that you refuse to admit seeing.

****************

[color:blue]VOTE[color:red] for President George W. Bush on November 2, 2004

okay, i should have clarified here as i was speaking in general terms and you are obviously referring to something specific. where is the single blatant lie you've discovered this time so that i can recognize it as bias and we can move this discussion forward?

"Tribal sovereignty means that, it's sovereign.
