yep, I went and got renter's insurance about a month before getting this G5. I've got bad wiring in my building and i just wanted to cover all bases.<br><br>I also don't live in the best neighborhood in town.<br><br>

A small (7,000 pop) calm town.<br><br>He bought a fully maxed Quadra 840 AV, but kept it at his brother's house in the mountains, about 150 miles away. He was so scared of any burglars catching wind of his investment he refused to keep it in his apartment. He used to drive to his brother's place every weekend to work on his photos on his Mac.<br><br>Then, when he moved, to an even nicer, more secure apartment, he finally brought the 840 into his place. But his paranoia remained, and he told VERY few people where he moved to, again for fear that word would get out to the criminal community and that he would be burglarized for his Mac.<br><br>

Jeez, what's the point of even having the thing? That seems s bit ridiculous.<br><br>

Bring that thing here so I can play with it to!!! Or take me along to your brother's house some weekend!"<br><br>Back then, I'd had only a wee taste of computer image manipulation at my job, and I wanted MORE! He was the only guy I knew who had a professional-stregth system for personal use. I grew up with a photographer Dad, and wanted to learn about it so I could return the favor to Dad for teaching me about traditional camera and darkroom techniques.<br><br>(This was before I had my own first computer.)<br><br>Sure wish Dad had lived long enough for me to introduce him to the wonderful world of Photoshop. He'd've thought he'd died and gone to Valhalla!<br><br>
