He's kind of known for that. Remember the whole Howard Dean heckler leg tackle incident?

When ever I visit my parents, it's always a race on the weekends to get the hell out of the house before Prairie Home Companion comes on NPR. That's the only time my mom listens to NPR. The rest of the week, it's all WLS; a station with a rich local broadcasting history in Chicago that now serves as the local vassal for the Rush Limbaugh and Dr. Laura syndicated programs.

Anyways, I took a little bit of pleasure when Frankin appeared on the show in Minnesota since my mom is so diametrically opposed to everything that isn't prefaced with ditto-, but that was quickly eclipsed with my absolute desire to get the hell away from Prairie Home Companion. We've all heard the Lake Wobegone jokes and they haven't gotten any funnier.

-- Charlie Alpha Roger Yankee Whiskey
I love PHC . . . When I lived in Dayton, and would drive back to Indianapolis to visit my folks, I'd time it so I'd be briving back on Saturday evening, just so I couldn't listen to Prairie Home Companion . . .

I grew up listening to WLS. Larry Lujack ... John Landecker ... Fred Winston ... Dick Biondi ... Animal Stories with Uncle Lar' and Lil' Tommy ... Many frosty mornings as a teenager, my brother and I would drive to school in his VW Bug, listening to Larry Lujack on MusicRadio 89, WLS!

****************

[color:blue]VOTE[color:red] for President George W.
