I always leave my spare in the charger when not using - I have no scientific data to support this idea, it's just what I do.<br><br>I will say that discharging the battery completely is a bad idea - it will shorten the life of the battery (the ability to get a full charge) substantially.<br><br>

I believe Lithium Ion batteries store the best with about a 40% charge. But, I don't think it's worth it to ensure a 40% charge when you store them. I would store them fully charged or whatever is convenient.<br><br>
Apples reference material on batteries mentions the magical 40% mark.<br>My local Mac dealer also mentions if youare going to run a powerbook on power for the majority of the time to remove battery altogether which I guess makes some kind of sense.<br><br>Need a laugh? Visit CreatorDude.com
