Status report -<br><br>It's up!! Wow. This thing is fast. The download meter shows 1128 kbps!! Over twice what I used to get on my cable modem! Incredible. As much of a hassle as the hardware install was the software was reasonablly tame. WinProxy installed pretty quick - most of the problems were my lack of Win98 knowledge. They say ignorance is bliss and when it comes to Windows I'm a happy man. <br><br>The Macs all networked in OK and the airported Pismo now wanders about the backyard beaming signals to the dish and then off to space and the internet beyond.<br>Amazing. <br><br>FTP seems to be spotty and the mail service sn't bulletproof but after my last ISP those are pretty minor issues. <br><br>This is very cool. <br><br>
