We found out yesterday that our IT folks got a grant to convert the whole campus to wireless connectivity. That'll be so nice

Even nicer for my colleague who lives right across the street and will probably be able to cancel her ISP and surf fro free from home.

that's great. we've had a wireless campus for about a year with parts being wireless for many years now. i always make sure i have a charged battery when we have faculty meetings and the connectivity sure makes the time more bearable. the funny thing is that i have PC using colleagues who have had mucho trouble with connecting while our mac colleagues have not had a single request for help. os x.

----
"even if we get bin Laden or Zawahiri now, it is 2 years 2 late. Wow, that's great. How big is that campus? I can't see the whole campus at the university of Arizona being covered... but I suppose its very possible to do.

It's 118 acres--not too small.

And Sean, I'd love to be able to surf at faculty meetings, but unfortunately I'm the minute-taker

Actually, it's something I enjoy doing, not the taking of the minutes so much, but the composing of the draft of the minutes. Here's how I reported the announcement of my being chair: [color:blue]Despite being of relatively sound mind, if not body, Prof. Cacicedo will attempt to impose order on the Department of English as new Chair, replacing Michael Adams.

People have actually complimented me on the minutes as a form of entertainment
