I'm not sure if you meant matt or Mark...I'm Mark and the only other Cowboys fan in these parts as far as I know. All we can say down here is...Bill knows what he's doin'...I hope. I can't wait to see if the new QB from Michigan can get it done like Troy could.
I actually meant MattMac, but while we're on the subject, you can most certainly join in too...

The more I read and thought about it, I guess it was a good deal- provided Buffalo doesn't go on to win the Super Bowl and we get their lousy draft pick next year...

It was also a good sign that Bill will NOT be going for the quick fix, and will be possibly be sticking around for more than his standard 3 years.

All I know is I was royally ticked off when they could have had their pick of any RB in the whole draft, and they traded down. Not too crazy about what I'm reading about this Notre Dame kid, and I just hope we don't have to deal with Hambrick all year again, running out of bounds when the heat is on...

[color:red]You slap my back, I'll slap yours!
Yeah, I wasn't too happy about the ND pick either. Hambrick is extremely disliked in Dallas because he made a big stink about how he should get more playing time than Emmit because he was the young "up and coming" RB. The sooner we lose that guy the better. It should be an interesting year. We might actually make it to the second round of the Playoffs this time.

Dallas is a funny place, when the Cowboys are doing bad, the other teams do well. I'm currently praying for the Mavs to crank it up a notch to take out the Kings. San Antonio or LA will probably kill us after that though. The Stars need to rebuild or something they looked terrible against the Avalanche...and the Rangers lose A-Rod and now we're in 1st place when evey Dallas sportscaster predicted them to be in the cellar.

The other pro teams here are fine but it's all about Da Boys when it comes down to it.

Matt is a Cowboys fan?

Yeah, I'm not sure what Jerry and Bill's strategy was for the draft.

I've had the opportunity to follow Julius Jones career at Notre Dame and while he had somewhat of a rocky career there, he is a solid running back. I attended a few games in South Bend this past season where Jones completely dominated the game, so it might not be that bad to have him in our stable. Be skeptical, but don't be surprised to see him flourish in a Parcells based offense.

All-in-all, the Cowboys wound up with 8 picks and a first round pick for next year. Here's who we picked up:

****************

[color:blue]I'm MattMac112, and I approve of President George W. Bush
***************

This space left intentionally blank
I do remember Hambrick running his mouth more than he ran the football across the goal line last year...

I get the Dallas Morning News Cowboy updates in my inbox...

I think the way it looks right now, this team is built for a Super Bowl run in about 2 years. At least, that's when Henson will be playing and we get those extra picks in the draft- and maybe we can snag a good cornerback and center in the process..

[color:red]You slap my back, I'll slap yours!
Yankees, Cowboys, New York Rangers, and (sigh) the Knicks

All local teams save for the Cowboys...only my parents could tell you why I became a Dallas fan. But it was since I was about 8 or 9.

[color:red]You slap my back, I'll slap yours!
