Jeez I haven't even had a chance to compose a message. But I thank you for your support. Really I'm not completely awake yet.

Cheers, iRock
There are two major products that come out of Berkeley: LSD and [Unix] BSD. We don't believe this to be a coincidence.
Jeremy S. Anderson

Chicken Fat "The Youth Fitness Song"

Note: There are two different versions of this song. The "Disk Jockey
Version" (2:12) and the "School Version" (6:30).

This record was made circa 1962. It was commissioned by President John F. Kennedy for the newly formed President's Council On Physical Fitness. A copy was sent to every school in the United States to be played over the intercom so students could do calisthenics to it. The first is not merely an edit of the second, but actually a somewhat different recording. The lyrics are basically the same, besides that there are less of them, and the sound is the same.

"Disk Jockey Version"

Touch down
Every morning
Ten times!
Not just
Now and then.
Give that chicken fat
Back to the chicken,
And don't be chicken again.
No, don't be chicken again.

Push up
Every morning
Ten times.
Push up
Starting low.
Once more on the rise.
Nuts to the flabby guys!
Go, you chicken fat, go away!
Go, you chicken fat, go!

Left! Oh Noooooooooooooooooo -

Kate, Kate, Kate – by posting those lyrics you just undid years of therapy to help deal with adolescent gym trauma!! Now I can picture it all over again – year after year after year - on rainy days - a scratchy old 45 played on a portable record player in a cavernous gym – rows of us in our hideous and unflattering red twill gym uniforms – most of which never got washed often enough – trying to keep up with whatever unfortunate classmate that got chosen to lead the exercises. Aaaaaaaaggghhhhhh!
