Maybe it's that I'm used to the software here and at MacCentral, but I like the looks of our Forum(s) versus the looks of most other Forums I've run across.

***********

[color:blue]as long as you're ordering double entendres, make mine a large, throbbing one

Nooooooo thanks. Truth be told, the whole uglyness here has really turned me off this place. Even now there are more political posts here than any other kind. Add to that, dealing with the psycho bi-polar types that seem to have free reigin to make threats post Swastikas thinking that it's some how funny, and willingly publish other peoples personal information leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I'm more inclined to sit back and see if things improve, but if anything, there seems to be more political posts than before. The only difference is that the people that opposed their views are now gone and I think that's what really happened here. Once there was real opposition in the debates, some of the regulars didn't like it and got nasty. The decision to ban some of the people was, and I'm guessing here, based not on who was wrong or right, but who has been here the longest. Had the decision been based on who was wrong, we'd be short a couple of regulars right now.

Perhaps the forum should be renamed to MacPolical.

Don't get me wrong. I enjoy a good political debate, but when people start frothing at the mouth because they can't convert you to their beliefs... yikes!

I'd much rather talk about cool new gear, computer games, fun trips people take, stuff like that.

From MacCentral:
"I think we need another forum so the people who whine about political posts have a place to vent."

[color:yellow]a candle is not there to illuminate itself
I wouldn't classify my post as 'whining'.

I am providing a solution, not just bitching about this place...

And I believe you misquoted Giz on that one...it was as follows: "I think we need a forum for people who whine about people who whine about politics too!"

[color:red]You slap my back, I'll slap yours!
