Almost all of the above.

There seem to be enough other places in the forums of MM & MC to be all serious and techie and Maccentric- when one wants to be - and it seems only natural to have a place of wanton silliness and brevity to balance things out.

Well Stan, there you go. The regulars have had their say, and they say they like the way the lounge has developed. I was the first "all of the above" in the poll and while there are often topics that I have absolutely no interest in, I almost invariably find other threads that make me chuckle or raise my hackles, or make me sigh with resignation. But this Lounge of ours is always worth a visit.

So, you still feel inclined to kick over the 'Lurker' thread? Unless it's creating problems with the mechanics of the site, why not just let it die in its own time? You certainly don't have to read it if you don't want to. I'm certain that if it gets offensive in there, the community will tap on your door and politely ask you to intervene.

In the meantime, why mess with perfection?
