at what point do we realize that maybe it's just condi and not anything "special" that the AP is doing?

"even if we get bin Laden or Zawahiri now, it is two years too late. I think that's the same effect as when you think a baby's smiling, and it's just gas...

[color:red]You slap my back, I'll slap yours!
I especially love the half-speak shots:

Sean, you don't have to try and convince me that the AP thing is just by accident...incidental if you will. It's not. Being in the media myself and having a gay-liberal brother who has worked in the newspaper business (and who feels compelled to point out the goofy AP pics I've missed, that rat-bastard ) gives me a unique perspective. Why are you so intent on denying that AP might intentionally be using images that reflect poorly (editorializing) on the Bush administration? Are you saying that's it's so out-of-the-question, so unbelievable that such a thing could possibly be happening? My liberal brother believes this is exactly what is happening, as do I.

***********

[color:blue]if you're ordering double entendres, make mine a large, throbbing one

It might not be motivated by political views...

Maybe the boys at the AP just have a sick sense of humor...

[color:red]You slap my back, I'll slap yours!
You may be right ... My paying attention to it started when my brother would send me links to goofy AP pictures of Bush (Bush in half-speak, awkward pose etc) just after he was inaugurated.

***********

[color:blue]if you're ordering double entendres, make mine a large, throbbing one

honestly, i think dubya looks funny when he speaks. i think he often has a smirky look on his face, so it's not inconceivable to think that many shots will have him looking like that. my point is that the AP has goofy photos of everyone much of the time. dubya has more goofy photos because he is in the limelight the most. howard dean had a zillion goofy shots as well. kerry looks pretty normal when he speaks, so he won't have as many, but that's largely a function of being fairly boring as well. when all 3 branches of gov't are controlled by one party, they are going to have the most photos and they are going to have the most goofy photos. that's my point.

for example, kerry's face doesn't really contort any more than this, so this is as bad as it can get unless he's hugging someone or slapping high five with howard dean, etc.:

kerry's lips just don't do this kind of action-talking poses:

"even if we get bin Laden or Zawahiri now, it is two years too late.
