Would it be a good move to install Panther on my iBook considering it is only a G3?

Does anyone here use a G3 running Panther? If so, how does it run?

I only have 250MB of Ram, but that'll definitely be upgraded.

Je Me Souviens

I installed panther in my Powerbook G3 500 mhz with 640 mb of memory, runs super good, also installed Panther in a iMac 500 mhz with 256mb of memory and runs fine.

runs fine on my 500mhz G3 iBook - it won't win any speed races, but it's MUCH faster than Jaguar was and quite useable for light-duty tasks.

[color:green]When you eat a can of beans you can't be sure which one made you fart.

doubling the RAM will only make it run faster... I would if you can afford it.

[color:green]When you eat a can of beans you can't be sure which one made you fart.

Of course. Upgrading Ram is suppose to be the cheapest and easiest way to boost performance.

I'll need to upgrade the 512 in my PC too.

Je Me Souviens
