The team is based here in Memphis and the administrative work is done by the Memphis Fire Department. The members are made up people form MFD and other area FD's, as well as civilian MD's, RN's, and Engineers. Basically the team holds training here, and maintains the equipmet cache here. If the team is deployed the members leave thier jobs and then deploy from Memphis. It's basically on call type thing with the training being done outside of your normal work. Kind of like national guard. The two most recent deployements were to the Pentagon on 9/11, and to Salt Lake City during the winter games.<br><br>
