Do you own or have you had hands-on experience with the 12" 867Mhz PowerBook?<br>Is the heat tolerable or intolerable?<br>Does the palm rest get heated?<br>Any other unfavorable experiences?<br>How does it compare to the 1Ghz PowerBook?<br>TIA<br><br>
I have had mine for several months now, have not played with the 1Ghz.<br><br>The heat can be intolerable if you are laying it on your lap while wearing shorts. That's about it. It's not that bad, even with the palm rests getting a little warm. Love the powerbook. <br><br>
I have had mine for over a year now, 14 months to be exact. Great laptop, the heat issue is a non-issue. Only problem I have had is the rubber feet falling off, but Apple fixed those for free (I took it in to an Apple store and they fixed them on the spot). Oh yeah, the AC adapter went south too, they gave me a new one. <br><br>No experience with the 1GHz one. <br><br>
