I have just purchased a Logitech MX 900 Bluetooth Mouse knowing that on the box it says it requires Windows and their web site says NOT OS X compatible but hey, it works!

However there is no way to configure the forward-back buttons. At least the scroll wheel and scroll buttons work.

What about Logitech's software? Does it help?

And why would you buy something that specifically says that it doesn't work on OSX? Or did you look after you bought it? Just curious.

I don't know about getting a bluetooth mouse...but a keyboard interests me...

There is no installable software for OS X that comes with it.

I have an Apple Bluetooth keyboard which is great but the Apple Bluetooth mouse is still lacking a second button and a scroll-wheel which I can't do without.

Being a traveller with a Powerbook, I need as little clutter as possible and Bluetooth connectivity gives me that.

My question is why did Logitech not release OS X driver with such a useful gadget which works beautifully on both platforms?

If you have Panther you can configure the forward and back buttons to activate Exposé.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman

Apple's Bluetooth keyboard is excellent. I prop my PowerBook up on a stand and use the no-chord freedom to place the keyboard anywhere I like! Feels nice too under my fingertips.
