It's only hush-hush before product launch, but the Oracle Database 10g was officially launched in a public event all over the world.. Dates of specific releases for operating systems is public information after that..<br><br><br>DigitalEye

I don't know the price of FileMaker, but I can guess Oracle is more expensive since it's a more powerful database engine targeted to serve a much larger number of users. If, by similar, you mean both prices are in dollars, then yes, the price will be similar. <br><br>Actually, I just checked. The Personal Edition is $400US. Not too bad. I would have expected much more.<br><br>

It really depends on what you're getting.. I mean the enterprise edition license is priced at $800 per user with a minimum of 25 users per processor.. You can get unlimited users at $40,000 per processor.. (prices info here)<br><br><br>DigitalEye
