I just read this in the Matador Records News:

iTunes:

With each passing week, we're adding more new & old Matador titles to
the iTunes Music Store (http://www.apple.com/itunes/). Among the recent
additions are albums from Robert Pollard, Thalia Zedek, Arab Strap,
Lesser, Matmos, Silkworm, Yo La Tengo, Mogwai, Tommy Keene, Pizzicato
Five, Railroad Jerk, Chavez and Aereogramme. Check it out and let us know what you think.

http://matadorrecords.com/

I only know a couple of those names, but it is good news for the iTMS. As they add more and more music, including independents, it will actually become a replacement for CD shops.

Now, when they stop the "partial album" nonsense I'll really shop there.

I have. The "they" in that sentence did not refer to Apple.

I've also written to some independet labels (CD baby, for example) to see if they could make a list on their web page of what artists are currently available through iTMS. I actually received a response from a real human within an hour. Independent labels are great.

I've seen that before, it is so funny! I've seen YLT a few times and it is pretty descriptive of the crowd.

The Onion rules.

I just had to help," said Ringler, listed in stable condition at a nearby hospital. "I saw all these people coming out bleeding and dazed. I gave up my vintage Galaxie 500 shirt just to help some guy bandage his arm. It was horrible."

Added Ringler: "I just pray they can somehow get this club rebuilt in time for next month's Dismemberment Plan/Death Cab For Cutie show. That's a fantastic double bill."

"It's just tragic," Gaer continued. "I heard they were going to play Daniel Johnston's 'Speeding Motorcycle.' They almost never do that one live."
Edited by cherry on 02/04/04 01:13 PM (server time).
