I just heard something on TV that OBL has been dead since December - apparently a bomb hit a bunker on Dec. 9th and he was in it!

[color:red]semicolon dash parenthesis

Last I heard, Bin Laden got bored with Rio and moved to the beach in Cuba where he and our good buddy, Castro, are planning the ultimate demise of the world!

[color:red]Alec

No... but it will probably be their now! But no, I heard it on NBC. They did say the intelligence reports were unconfirmed!

[color:red]semicolon dash parenthesis

unconfirmed
is the operative yes
No I doubt that Bin Laden (trash can full) is dead or even alive for that matter.. confirmable that is..
Those videos of Bin Laden were all old,...
*there is no proof that he was alive or even in Afghanistan to be bombed.
*Even the deadliest of bombs would have left big enough pieces of Bin Laden's DNA for positive proof(of being blasted to bits)
*It is not good enough to find DNA samples.. as all they prove is that BL was in the cave at sometime.. they need to be bloody bits to prove that he was at least injured in the cave.
*It is far more likely that BL was either already dead or died since from his kidney problems, which needed medical treatments, but this or his treatments had to be carried out outside Afghanistan since there was no known treatment possibilities within Afghanistan at the time..
*I doubt that Bin laden was ever where he could have been hit by bombs being dropped in Afghanistan.. there were ample numbers of look-alikes to go chasing after and bombing to keep the US busy while he slipped the net.

For that matter, do we even know bin laden exists??? I mean, it could be the store owner from the Simpsons doing short videos for extra cash!

[color:red]semicolon dash parenthesis

In lots of ways, it doesn't matter whether bin Laden is dead or alive, exists or doesn't. To say that terrorism is going to stop if he's dead is just not reasonable. It'd be nice to get the sob, but beyond revenge I'm not sure what it'll accomplish (except maybe get more folks angry).

Great wits are sure to madness near allied.--John Dryden, "Absalom and Achitophel"

Revenge for 9/11 is a perfectly acceptable result in this case.

[color:red]semicolon dash parenthesis
