I can not shut down my TiBook 800mhz 10.3.2 in order to go home after the holidays!

When I shut it down, it freezes. After I hit restart, it is stuck in the blue screen.

I have my DiskWarrior CD and it boots up and repairs it and I can restart it okay but still can not turn the thing off. I can boot into 9 and shut it down.

I have done the normal...Disk Warrior, repaired permissions, reset PM, etc....no extras hooked up to my PB either.

Another possibility is that you have selected synchronize with iDisk in System Preferences .Mac and the computer is waiting for the Mirror Agent to shutdown,be patient. Sorry for give you some advice that doesn't work.

[color:green]Pura Vida

Something similar happened to me the other day with the iBook G4 (OS 10.3.2). I traced it to the fact that I had been using speakable items and left it turned on, and had also set it to turn back on when I logged in. Some kind of conflict I guess. Turning it off in the system preferences has apparently fixed the problem. That was my first freeze with the blue screen and spinning beach ball.

You have anything running in the background that you can think of? Something that you didn't have running before?

Thanks all.

I did check iDisk and it was not turned on as speakable items was not turned on.

It freezes on shutdown when all items are off the desktop but my desktop photo. When I hit restart, it is okay but then sticks at the blue screen.
