My wife just lost her entire iphoto database with no warning ... poof, gone! She has a G4 tower with OS10, purchased 6 months ago. Can someone tell me what happened? Can I somehow retrieve the photos? How can this be prevented in future?

She's lost some great photos and is very upset .. solving this problem will make me her hero. Have you done a search for the actual photos? Sometimes iPhoto's database gets corrupted and appears to be empty, but in fact the photos are still on the hard drive.

Check in your Pictures folder, or wherever else you may have stored them.

Visit My Web Site!

check out this link from another forum.
