Here's a show I wish they'd release on DVD:

I know .. I know. But my Dad, his brother and my Grandfather together played some of the finest bluegrass music when I was a child. Hee Haw was a staple in our home and not to be missed. My memories aren't so much of the Vaudevillian humor rather it was the gathering of our family to watch the show. I was a small child at the time and I have four brothers. We are all within 10 years of each other so it was a big gathering, and fun too! After the show, the REAL music would begin, live in the living room, and last until we were all long asleep. It was the safest time in my life.

That's why I wish they'd release this show on DVD.

Good post.

Even as a child, I realized that it was totally campy. But there was something even more so redeeming about it too.

It's worth revisiting.
