I should know better, but I am really wanting this product...since there is nothing really like it on the market...but what I find unreal is that it was announced almost 5 months ago for preorder.....and still, the product does not exist. Apparently they are using the same time-to-market model as Halo.

Aware of their reputation, I did not preorder. If it ever makes it to a store shelf, I will buy it in person (from somewhere with a 100% guaranteed, no questions asked return policy, in case it sucks.)

Probably a good idea. I did buy the iMic for myself and my sister and we both love it. I think they make some nice things, but that delay is just ridiculous. I bet the next time they announce a product (maybe this MWSF) at least a few people laugh in their face.

And it really is a shame. With the popularity of talk radio, people would love this product. Imagine...record your favorite shows, then load them into your iPod.

I bought a radio/tape walkman for 10 USD. I connected to the mic with a jack-to-jack cable and loaded the free Audio In 1.0.3 and I program it to record anything at a given time. It saves the aiff file to the desktop, you just need to import to iTunes and convert to AAC. It's very simple and very cheap!

"I think that gay marriage is something that should be between a man and a woman."

That is essentially what I have now, but I would like to have something that is USB-powered and is more integrated with the computer, so I don't have to think about recording anything. According to their advertising, you can program it like a Tivo, which would be heavenly (if the product existed.)
