I use to order a quarter pounder with no cheese and no onions (since they use those disgusting freeze dried onoin strips) and 9 times out of 10 I got it w/cheese. This became a running joke it happened so often. At the Mickey Ds in Burlington, MA it took them 3 times in a row to give me one sans fromage. I have now learned to order just without cheese and pick the onion things off an they get it right.

Clearly, I'm completely clueless. I have the same problem with fashion.

I can understand the appeal of being pro Democrat. According to them, nobody has to be responsible, work hard, or even a legal citizen. Heck, if you don't feel like working, we'll just throw money at you, and if that education is too hard, we'll lower the required score. What's that? you want to take 6 months leave from your job? Well, we'll just take the money out of everyone elses pocket and put it in yours, that is providing you have any money after we tax everyone into proverty.

The thread killer
That's why you guys should have it out in a healthy game of ping-pong!

Seriously, the point you were making under all of the other "extreme" and scary words was quite valid– I guess that was why I made that connection. I mean you no offense, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

You guys are missing the point. You have made this into a partisan debate.

The point is: There is plenty of very real unfinished business and the current administration would rather dump the *mess* and move onto something high-minded that defies a measure for success. People should demand that this administration find resolution to those issues...and yes, even capturing Bin Laden, because we were told it WOULD make it difference, and it WOULD happen.

If you want to get all partisan about it...wasn't this the administration that was going to return accountability and honor to the office of POTUS? Dumping your responsibilities is hardly the means to do that.

Oh. I'm sorry. My bad. That's right. They were only talking about the presentation of the office, not the deeds.

===================
[color:blue]"Self-awareness is good for getting you through an Intervention, but it's no crowd-pleaser at a real party"
S3V3N
Washington, DC USA
Thank you for bringing the post back on track. you're right.

I can't really respond to your claim that they are 'dumping the mess' because I don't see any documentation proving they are closing the other issues, pulling their funding, transfering the staffs, or anything else that shows the current 'messes' are being abandoned.

The thread killer
"Heck, I can't count how many times my order has been screwed up at a drive up MacDonalds window, and that's a crew of what, 2 or 3 people?
How many times have you run a project with over 20 people in different departments all talking to each other and things get missed or not communicated properly? "

Way out of context. This is the highest office of our country, in arguably the most influential country on the planet. At this level, I accept no excuses. The man can accomplish anything he wants to. At his or any President's level, excuses are the smoke and mirrors obscuring hidden preferences.

===================
[color:blue]"Self-awareness is good for getting you through an Intervention, but it's no crowd-pleaser at a real party"
S3V3N
Washington, DC USA
You are being unrealistic, my friend.

He's not in every meeting at every level down to the mail room. How many tasks get pushed off to the next day in your life? How many times do you run out of time? I wonder how the guy can sleep at night knowing the cushing amount of work waiting for him the next day.

Look at us. We can take time out to blab on the internet and surf the latest and coolest toys for your Macs. Does he have time like that?

The thread killer
I am done with this, I just want to say:

I did not realize I was partisan– wait I am not, at all. I am completely unaffiliated just have a short attention span. You said "The man has no discipline to see things to the finish." I said no one man is responsible, one terrorist or the other. Seeing things through to the finish would be great, but I don't think that is going to happen. In my opinion the well being of the citizens and the country should be top priority– wasn't that the question?

You make very good points, and I completely agree with you. But this is a discussion board, and things do go off topic quite a bit right? What you are saying should be spoken to a larger audience...

Take action then:

moveon.org

(I know "TGD" preaches about them a lot, but they really do a lot of work) Also,

democracynow.org
